Hybrid?!?! Now you have my undivided attention. Are those flats subject to carp as well? Try a Tiemco 600SP hook and those hybrids will not get off – I guarantee it.
Straight stripers only in Canyon. Using a Gammy Finesse hook… Wicked hook, that one just didn’t set. Yes there are carp on those flats. This was about 100 yards away filmed in the Spring a few years ago:
